My paintings are inspired by my love of travel, wildlife, the serenity of nature: the beach, the forest, the ocean, with vibrant pops of colour and texture. They are a reminder to take the time to notice the small things, quiet moments and fond memories that speak to your inner child and resonate joy. My mission is to:

Hey! I'm Tracey. My goal as an artist is to both preserve (for the young) and to help restore (for the not so young) the innocent, happy adventure of childhood. To encapsulate those simple moments of joy, curiosity and self love; a beautiful or peaceful setting in nature, a special friendship or connection with an animal, a fond memory, a story or a dream. My aim is to create imagery that evokes emotion and serves as a reminder to always spare a moment to love yourself and to never lose touch with that curious child within. My work typically incorporates vibrant pops of colour, rich textures, quirky animals and nature settings. It is a blend of hand painted imagery both acrylic and digital as well as clean and mixed media vector illustrations .
I studied Fine Arts at UVIC and earned a BFA and then spent some time travelling/living in South East Asia for a couple of years. I went back to Vancouver Film School and graduated with honours and then began my 12+ years career in classical & 3D animation in Canada.

I lived Australia for 7 years where my love of travel, wildlife and nature fed my inspiration daily and rekindled my passion for my fine arts roots. My partner and I along with our amazing 5 year old girl and our husky, Boston lived next to a white sandy beach with a beautiful turquoise ocean, the streets lined with fragrant frangipanis and the cockatoos & lorikeets visited our window daily to eat sunflower seeds from our hands in the beautiful warm sun. :)
During my time down under I worked in a studio managing a team in the 3D advertising industry. Being 'off the tools' had stoked the fire for my creativity. My passion for getting back to my traditional roots had taken over and my focus shifted back to my Fine Arts background.
Now that we have returned home to Vancouver, I have started my own company where I have been growing my collection of original acrylic paintings, painting commissions, murals and hand painted signs as well as illustrating children's books and creating original children's art prints along with graphic design focusing on mainly logo and pattern design.
